How we got here

A happy accident, there had long been intentions amongst us of one day opening a brewery. We’d been brewing for a little while, meeting with planning/liquor authorities and hunting for a venue from which to express our energy and ideas.

An opportunity fell into our lap at the Canning Vale location and whilst none of us had thought too much of the Brew-on-Premises model, we immediately saw it as a great platform to build our brand, reputation and following.

We opened our doors in February of 2018 as “Brew University” and have loved every minute since!

Things pretty quickly fell into place as we brainstormed and planned; acknowledging our preference for and experience with Americanised craft brewing and finding the college/university campus concept as a natural environment for learning about beer and brewing in a fun, modern and never-too-serious way. The real beauty is that we are learning along with our customers and we hope that never changes – always learning and innovating so as to have something to share.

From there, we’ve expanded our operation into the commercial production space and it’s here that “CAMPUS Brewing” is born.

Allowing us to serve beer as well as supply kegged and packaged products from the onsite fifteen-tap tasting room bar complete with indoor beer garden.

We’re building toward a brewery experience that allows beer enthusiasts to get as involved as they desire; be it just a tasting flight from the bar, an introduction to brewing, advice/pointers for perfecting their own product, exposure to the latest yeast, hops and malt, all the way to getting hands-on with our brewing team in the commercial process. Beer school, brewing courses, industry seminars and guest presentations are all on the horizon – as well as collaborations with some of Australia’s brightest brewers (and maybe a cheeky international cameo or two). We recognize that there is an increasing thirst for quality, knowledge and new experiences in beer and our aim is to find those for all tastes and at any price point.
