Prom Queen Barleywine-Style Ale (2024)
Barleywine Style Ale | 12.6% | 40 IBU
As the air grows colder and daylight dwindles - her time has come again...
The Prom Queen returns!
Brewed exclusively with English Maris Otter malt, our barleywine is boiled for over six hours to develop lovely colour and deep malt complexity. Additions of resinous Simcoe hops provide a layered bitterness with punches of woody pine and light citrus aroma.
Similar to last year's release, we've conditioned the 2024 with French Oak that was soaked in Woodfords Select Reserve Rye Bourbon and allowed for an even more generous maturation time. The result is slightly better integrated flavours and the best balance we have achieved to date whilst retaining that sticky barleywine goodness.
